I have been having another little break from birds in order to complete this painting of Ruby, the border terrier for the friend of a friend. It’s no hardship because dogs are so interesting and varied.
Ruby has such an adorable face and beautiful brown eyes. Initially I had a bit of a problem with scale in particular to her ears but she seems more in proportion now. I hope I have managed to capture some of her character too.
