Here is a Hare to mark the arrival of spring and in memory of a fabulous walk that Jane took me on yesterday. The weather was as perfect as the countryside, we strode out through the fields and woodland around Alnwick in Northumberland. I have never seen so many hares on one walk much to the delight of our Saluki, Loki, who loves nothing more than a good run, he eventually returned, utterly exhausted and feet smouldering. He never catches them, and doesn’t really want to, he simply loves the chase.
