Striking birds the Jay shares it’s family with the crow and magpie (corvidae) and also display many of their traits, although tend to be more wary. Here I have adopted the same style as I used in my crow painting, a little wild and raucous to match their nature and call. We have a pair that visit our garden and often brave the peanut feeder. If you are ever lucky enough to come across one of their amazing blue wing feathers you will be truly awestruck by it’s beauty.
