These are the amazing little shoreline waders that can be seen running at great speed in groups, expertly dodging the waves. They remind me of clockwork toys zipping backwards and forwards then all of a sudden they will take off together only to land a little further down the beach.
This painting is looser than the previous few but I couldn’t quite get away from my new love – the french ultra-marine and burnt siena wash. Its just visible in areas outlining the three birds.
Beautiful! I love the colours in this painting and the delicate patterns you made with them, on the birds and in the background. 🙂
